When he was eight years old, Kansas City based musician Grant Klein began composing piano pieces as a means of coping with life’s inherent melancholy. This form of emotional expression continued into high school, when he found success with his band {Parentheses}, developing a cult-following before both members transitioned into solo projects. In his upcoming release, ‘The Teleporter’, Klein creates themes of time travel by exploring the disorienting overlap of recurring patterns and inevitable change in his identity and relationships. Crafted entirely with live instruments and retro techniques, Klein creates a sound that feels nostalgic, and somehow entirely new.
